Mild Hyperbaric Sessions
A comfortable, soft-sided chamber filled with pressurized air. Optional supplemental oxygen from a concentrator. This is a wellness service at a chiropractic office. It is not hospital hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Book Your AppointmentWhat Our Sessions Are
Our clinics offer sessions in a soft-sided mild hyperbaric chamber. The bag is filled with air from a compressor and pressurized above normal room pressure (mild range, 1.2–1.4 ATA unless a physician is supervising a different protocol).
Some sessions include supplemental oxygen from a concentrator via a mask — not a medical oxygen cylinder and not 100% hospital oxygen.
This is not FDA-approved hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It is not a treatment for wounds, autism, Lyme disease, cancer, concussion, or other medical conditions. If you have been told you need medical HBOT, we will help you find an appropriate medical program instead.
Sessions are by screening and informed consent only. A staff member monitors you throughout. Tell us about lung problems, a history of collapsed lung, ear/sinus issues, pregnancy, fever, or colds before you book.
What to Expect
Screening & Informed Consent
Before you book, we review your health history — including lung problems, a history of collapsed lung, ear/sinus issues, pregnancy, fever, or colds — to confirm a mild session is appropriate for you.
Acclimatization
As the session begins, the chamber slowly pressurizes. You may feel a fullness in your ears, similar to taking off in an airplane. We guide you through simple techniques to clear your ears.
The Session
Once at mild pressure, you simply relax, breathe normally, and let the session run. A staff member monitors you throughout. You can stop the session at any time.
Depressurization
The chamber is slowly depressurized and you exit comfortably. We are happy to answer any questions about your experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe?
Mild pressure can still injure the ear and sinuses. Rare but serious risks include lung injury. Oxygen increases fire risk. We screen every guest, a staff member watches you throughout, and we follow the manufacturer's instructions. You can stop the session at any time.
Electronics?
Follow staff instructions. Typically no phones or tablets inside the chamber when the concentrator is on.
What does it feel like inside the chamber?
The most noticeable sensation is a fullness in your ears as the chamber pressurizes, similar to flying or driving down a mountain. Once at mild pressure, it feels comfortable and relaxing.
Is this the same as hospital hyperbaric oxygen therapy?
No. This is a wellness service in a soft-sided mild chamber, not FDA-approved hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It is not a treatment for wounds, autism, Lyme disease, cancer, concussion, or other medical conditions. If you need medical HBOT, we will help you find an appropriate medical program.
How long is a session?
Sessions are comfortable and relaxed. A staff member monitors you throughout, and you can stop the session at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
